The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the property’s purchasing system and process, including developing policies and procedures, performing the purchasing tasks such as buying, negotiating prices with vendors, and processing appropriate paperwork.

Required Knowledge:

Position Description: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in developing creative and innovative marketing and promotion campaigns for Great River Casino Resort FunCity which will result in expanded awareness of our facilities and increasing patron play. As a Coordinator in the Marketing department, this position also works with the various management teams to create promotions & initiatives for all venues of the Great River Casino Resort FunCity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in writing timely rules and procedures Great River Casino Resort Promotions, for IRGC approval and compliance. Responsible for maintaining IRGC regulatory compliance in all promotional events and activities.
- Assist in creating and maintaining an effective player development program which will be measured by an increase in patrons and coin-in over time.
- Provide monthly analytical reports to evaluate cost vs. benefit
- Assist in analyzing direct mail initiatives, including concept and designs, promotions, return on investment and billing accuracy.
- Assist in monthly team marketing meetings to assess and develop promotion and marketing initiatives.
- Develop innovative promotions for all on-site venues to increase profitability & meet company objectives. Responsible for distribution of these materials.
- Develop cost-effective promotional materials for casino and property campaigns.
- Maintain cutting-edge marketing and graphics standards when writing, editing and developing content. Ensure accountability in following guidelines and accomplishing marketing objectives.
- Ability to effectively collaborate, coordinate and implement marketing campaign directives with third party vendors or outside consulting agencies.
- Collaborate directly with IT/MIS personnel to ensure marketing database accuracies
- Assists in keeping the Marketing department on track and timely.
- Assist in Overseeing and monitoring all internal and external signage.
- Collaborate, positive Workplace Employee Events with Human Resources.
- Assist in entertainment event functions as needed.
- Provide marketing consultation to subsidiaries including but not limited to: Spirit Hollow, GRE Amusements, Cold Stone Creamery, Fanatics.
- Adheres to reporting/recording responsibilities relative to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Attend and preform casino mass promotions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing and Gaming license.
- Experience in business administration preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in advertising, hospitality, customer service, social media and entertainment management and casino gaming functions required.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to clearly state written rules for regulatory compliance and rule comprehension by patrons and staff.
- Experience in developing, analyzing and implementing casino promotion budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent copywriter with the ability to engage consumers. Strong proofreading skills a must.
- Ability to prioritize, manage and perform multiple tasks under deadline-driven environments with speed and accuracy.
- Strong working and operating knowledge of graphics, print, web and social media programs and applications.
- Strong analytical, research and data entry skills. Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
- Experience in: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, KCMS or other casino operating/content management systems.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee is regularly required to see, hear, talk, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move and apply force of 10 pounds or more.
MINIMUM LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read, write and create promotional materials. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one or from groups of managers, employees, customers and the general public.
MINIMUM MATHEMATICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to calculate figures such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally in a clean office. The noise level is low to moderate. May need to work various hours or shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. This position has no exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

The Host/Cashier is responsible for welcoming guests and seating guests in appropriate sections. This position must provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and greet guests, creating a positive first impression for the outlet.
- Seat guests in appropriate sections at clean tables.
- Maintain knowledge of outlet layout, menu items, and nightly features.
- Remain courteous and helpful to guests at all times.
- Keep dining area neat and clean at all times (chairs, booths, floors).
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance at all times.
- Perform assigned side-work duties.
- Report all guest incidents and complaints immediately to supervisor.
- Smile and make eye contact with all guests.
- Perform all other related tasks deemed necessary by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
